Dr. Mark Holterman – A Success Worth Dreaming

Dr. Mark Holterman is a man that strives for greatness. His pursuit of the medical world has allowed him to conquer great things and to help many people in ways that we only dream of doing. Dr. Holterman has an extensive and prestigious medical educational background where he would influence his teachers and earn favoritism in many respects. After graduating from his educational pursuits, he would go on to pursue his medical passion and put many smiles on the faces of the patients that he serves.


Currently, Dr. Mark Holterman is a pediatrics professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria. His primary functions are those of fetal stem cells where he looks to promote the study of the safety aspects and the effects of innovative treatments.


Dr. Mark Holterman took his interest in the medical world and specified his approach to regenerative medicine which is meant to restore the functioning of organs and tissues. Whether damaged or a subject of chronic disease, Dr. Holterman restores organs and tissues through tissue engineering that allows organs and tissue structures to do the jobs that they were meant to do. There are many instances when conventional therapy just doesn’t work effectively on tissues and organs as they should and that’s when a guy like Mark Holterman comes in and applies his engineering skills.


He is a lifesaver that patients appreciate with great certainty. His engineering procedures have allowed his many patients the comfort to be active again in their lives and spend much more quality time with their families as they have always wanted to, but couldn’t do because of their tissue and organ damages.



Before his practices began, Dr. Mark Holterman majored in biology at the University of Yale where he would graduate cum laude (ReleaseFact). Later, he would join the University of Virginia, where he would earn his Ph.D. and MD. He didn’t stop there, he would continue obtaining an education at the University of Virginia Health Sciences, where he would complete a residency in general surgery. Dr. Mark Holterman was an inspiration to his classmates that had allowed them to generate some of the greatest ideas and motivated them to continue to the end of their program in order to obtain their degrees.


Dr. Mark Holterman would later become a surgeon-in-chief at Advocate Christ Children’s Hospital.
