Some people feel like The Chainsmokers have been around for years but it has really been for little over two years since they reached mainstream appeal. The first song of theirs to crack the top 10 was “Roses” at the beginning of 2015. Since that time The Chainsmokers have released a string of hits. This band is a duo featuring two producers, Alex Pall and Drew Taggart. They have performed with a number of other artists. They teamed up with “Something Just Like This” with Coldplay. Their song “Closer” featured Halsey. They also featured Daya on “Don’t Let Me Down” which made her an overnight sensation.
When you have had as much success in music as they have the pressure builds to keep doing what you’re doing. The Chainsmokers didn’t want to do this, though, as they want to grow and evolve. Their most recent single, “Sick Boy” is a much darker song than anything they have done and it marks a new phase for The Chainsmokers.
“Sick Boy” follows a long period for this band to now release a song. Drew Taggart said that they had been releasing songs on a monthly basis but they went nine months without one before releasing this new single. He said that they like to keep their music really current with what is going on in their lives and the world in general.
The Chainsmokers music is a mixture of different genres. It has been described as partially pop as well as dance music that has been mixed with indie and hip-hop as well. Both Alex Paul and Andrew Taggart have said they have taken inspiration musically from a number of sources. This includes deadmau5 and Pharell Williams who also both DJ. Other inspirations include Max Martin, Blink-182, and Taylor Swift among others.
Their most recent tour was in 2017 when they went on the Memories Do Not Open tour to support their album of the same name. This album went on to become certified platinum. Their first album was Bouquet while their second one was called Collage. They have also released many singles onto the market as well.
Alex Pall’s association with the Chainsmokers.
Alex Pall is a member of the famous band known as Chainsmokers. During his visit to New York, he was interviewed by Mathias Rosenzweig. When growing up, Alex’s hobby was DJing. He focused on DJing for a while when he was in an art gallery. He realized that dance music was consuming most of his time and wanted to give it a try. He worked with his manager for a while before he got introduced to his new band member and friend; Andrew Taggart. Immediately, Andrew started working with him after moving from Maine. Alex then quit his job and began the music dance career.
Alex’s self-drive and ambition to succeed in the music and dance industry was a key role in his compatibility with Andrew. He was keen on the change of trends, what was working and what was not and who was making a hit. He had a lot of DJ gigs, and this proved to have marketed his brand. He met with Andrew every day and worked on music and creating their identity as artists. The music has helped him relate to his fans on a deeper level and also pays his bills. To stay interesting as an artist, Alex advice that one needs to be creative.
The band’s songs mainly focus on the artists’ lifestyles. They write their songs, expressing their feelings and sometimes guide their songwriters. Each song differs from the other, but that is who they are. The band has been working recently on a single called “Closer” with Halsey. Alex thinks that she is incredible, very cool and unique artist, and has a strong voice. She is the kind of artist that he is proud of working with. The song “Closer” was written by Andrew and his friend and is being produced by the band. He believes it is a good step from an identity standpoint.
Alex Pall thinks that by introducing exciting and creative things, going on tour, and also putting up a festival is what will cater to the bands expanding the audience. He points out that the and is all about being on the forefront of pushing new boundaries and giving their fans a unique experience.

Norka’s initial involvement with the music industry occurred at age 8, recording aspects of Shakira Anthology. She made her solo debut, translating as “As You Do It,” in 2011, earning her “Artist of the Year” from “Premios Lo Nuetro,” under its female pop singer category. Rather than sit on her laurels and risk being thought of a one-hit wonder, Norka released her second single a year later. “Milagro,” meaning “miracle” in Spanish, stayed on the 2012 music charts for 14 weeks. Unlike Norka’s first single, Milagro was remixed into several arrangements, including the salsa, dance and urban genres.
